Astrologer and Volhovnik
Warlocks - so were called in the old days people who own the secret magical knowledge , sorcerers, endowed with a mighty force, which is inaccessible to ordinary mortals. 
It is known that in ancient Rus, after the establishment of Christianity for a long time were kept the pagan tradition and among the people were popular precept, that is prohibited, black books, so called because their keepers were persecuted by the official authorities. Priests in their sermons against paganism indicated names of this ancient books: " Astrologer" and " Volhovnik". 
Unexpectedly stumbled in the Internet on information about the fact that one of these books has preserved to our time I decided to look throughout, but i had no idea that I would have real journalistic investigation.
In the article by an anonymous author, among other things was mentioned, that a man called Eugene Butsenyuk has inherited from his grandmother a few sheets of the ancient book " Volhovnik", what allow its owner to join the ancient order of the Magi called the "Great Fire". 
The plot about this organization, I recently saw on the NTN channel. Search of necessary information greatly simplified in our time, thanks to Internet, it turned out that the order "Great Fire" really exists and is the oldest official pagan organization in Eastern Europe, and the spiritual center of ognischans (so novices of "Great Fire" called themselves) is located in Kiev near the metro station "Lybidska". 
Tongue will lead to Kiev - the head of the Order, Prince Ogin (secular name - Gennady Botsenyuk) agreed to meet with me and answer my questions.
In the office of ognischans modernity had intertwined with the antiquity. Near the pagan stone sculptures and ancient artifacts, among which I particularly liked forged in silver antique horn, stand modern computers. 
Prince Ogin also looks quite modern man, wears a fashionable suit and expensive tie, but his gray eyes glowing by some mysterious magical luster. He does not call himself a magician, because there are too many pseudo magicians in our time, but calls himself a priest of Perun and Svarog. Gennady showed me a thick ancient book in cracked of time dark leather binding
. It turned out that this book is called " Power of Magus" and it was rewritten from even more ancient book in the early seventeenth century, which is confirmed by the Institute of History of Ukraine. Many sacred for ognischans texts of this book should not be read by uninitiated, but Gennady Botsenyuk opened the book and gave me to view a few pages covered with writing with large ornate handwriting. 
There were also painted mysterious magic signs, some of which were similar to the swastika. Prince Ogin said that I have read the article, which was written by someone who has never seen this ancient book, did not know how it is called, and did not even know his exact name. Here's what story had happened. Some Oleg Deboryants stolen (in the literal sense of this word) a book in one of ognischans of Zhitomir. In this notebook were written a few chapters from the " Power of Magus" book, which he defiled (distorted beyond recognition) and has published under the guise of amazing discovery. 
But the book " Volhovnik" and " Astrologer" have not survived to our time, but Gennady Botsenyuk convinced that astrology of our ancestors was very different from what we now understand as astrology, but the ancient Slavs did not believe in destiny, and therefore could not believe in fact, that starry sky can predict a person's fate. But our pagan ancestors believed in prophecies, also Gennady Botsenyuk believes in them. He is convinced that in the near future, many people will return to their native faith and due to this this will make their souls immortal.
When I was already on the street, among the crowd of somewhere always being late Kievans, I could still hear the words of the ancient conspiracy by which Prince Ogin has blessed me in parting: "His name - is Power. Navi him - around us. He will come when the great circle of being will be closed".
