More than 400 police officers from Khmelnytsky in 1986 took part in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident
Khmelnytsky police honored their colleagues who were among the first had to eliminate the effects of the world's largest man-made disaster. With four police officers Liquidators 69 died because of severe illness caused by a large dose of oprominennya. The festivities began with laying flowers at the monument to Heroes of Chernobyl, then head of MIA in Khmelnitsky region Nikolai Semenyshyn invited fellow liquidators to management for review and discussion of the documentary "Chernobyl - my lifelong battle" created specifically for this tragic anniversary.
