For illegal possession of ammunition man can get five years in prison. During the unauthorized search of the household 31-year resident of Lutsk district police found and seized ammunition 7.62 mm. The information included in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigationson the basis of a criminal offense under Part. 1, Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Sanction article provides for punishment of imprisonment for a term of two to five years. However, persons who voluntarily surrendered weapons law-enforcement bodies,ammunition, explosives, exempt from criminal liability.
