In the Lviv region Stryjskyj police discussed with the public issue of environmental problems in the region

in Stryi with representatives of law enforcement agencies, the public and students held a round table on environmental issues. The meeting discussed the issue of protection rannokvituchyh plants liable for I will makeent criminal and administrative offenses against the environment. The initiator of the roundtable was the Public Council under Stryiskyi Gorotdel police. The purpose of the event - to attract public attention and local authorities to environmental problems in Stryj, establish cooperation between State and Society in the solution as takyh problems and in implementing prevention of offenses against the environment. The round table was attended by Attorney Striyskoy Interdistrict Prosecutor Catherine Hrybyk, Deputy Chief of Police John Stryisky Gorotdel Klontsak, assistant chief of police Stryisky Gorotdel of Public Police Major Olga brandnyuk, Inspector of the Environment of the State Environmental Inspection in Lviv oblast Yury Yakubovich, chairman of the Public Council under Stryiskyi Gorotdel Games Bryk police and members of the public institutions, students Stryisky Agricultural College and local journalists. The representative of the State Ecological Inspectorate Yuri Yakubovich told about the main tasks and powers of environmental inspection. Catherine Hrybyk - Interdistrict Prosecutor Striyskoy prosecutors highlighted the issueon criminal liability for committing such offenses against the environment as illegal cutting of forests (Article 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), violations of or use of mineral resources (Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), pollution or damage to land (Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Those present at the meeting, representatives of NGOs, which are part of Thunderdskoyi Council at Stryiskyi Gorotdel police raised concerns about the problem of garbage on the river Stry, as well as the sentencing Styryyskym city district court in the investigation into the contamination of land outside Skole et al.
