Ternopil received the Honorary Council of Europe
Table Ternopil – the only city in Ukraine and one of eight in Europe, which this year was awarded the Honorary Council of Europe Table. The award was officially presented to the Council of Europe representative of the Mayor Sergei Nadal in a public ceremony at the city ’ monument to Ivan Franko in the City Day, August 28. Table of HonorI Council of Europe - is the third of four awards that can get European city of the organization. Ternopil already received a diploma in 2013 the Council of Europe, and in 2014 – Honorary Flag of the Council of Europe. Getting distinction, head of Ternopol Sergey Nadal said that the city is actively working towards European integration and this work is noticeable andhighly appreciated by European partners. « Receiving European awards not only significantly improves the status of the city but also offers great opportunities in promising cooperation with cities and regions, international organizations and foundations - said the mayor. - Ternopil City is part of the historical heritage of culture Europi and integrated into the system of relations and cooperation at the level of sister cities and partner cities.
