Vinnytchina "Civil Society, religious groups and communities who hold certain beliefs" (+ photos)
Under this name in the conference hall of the gallery "Inter Chic" held a two-day workshop, held at the initiative of the Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (DBIBAHRI) under. The event took place in the framework of the OSCE / ODIHR in Ukraine Project, which aims to strengthen the security of religious communities and other groups in Ukraine. The project provides for strengthened cooperation and dialogue with the government, civil society, religious organizations, law enforcement agencies. During the previous visit Repavnykiv OSCE / ODIHR in Ukraine in January - February 2015, Vinnytsia region together with the Cherkasy selected one of the pilot areas for the project. In the home workshop, as part of this project, was attended by about 20 people, including representatives of religious organizations UPC, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims and Jews m. Vinnitsaand community members. Classes are held in the form of training trainers - experts from ODIHR Russian and English with simultaneous translation provision. Priority issues were the following: 1) Definition of "religion" and "belief" and "discrimination", "intolerance," "hate crimes and religious Neterpymosti "; 2) International standards on freedom of religion or belief; 3) State's international obligations in respect, protect and promote the right to freedom of religion or belief; 4) Review the national legislation of Ukraine on freedom of religion or belief; 5) methods to prevent and combat discrimination, intolerancespine and hate crimes, including committed on a religious basis. At the same time, representatives of religious organizations perceived ambiguously style and methods of this seminar.
