Rescuers held a seminar with representatives of chemically dangerous objects Zhytomyr region
One of the very important tasks entrusted to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, is to protect the population and territories from the harmful effects of chemically hazardous substances. Their danger lies in the fact that, unlike fire or smoke, the presence ofsubstances is often invisible. So when dealing with them should be ten times closer. In the Zhytomyr region has 22 such facilities in general they are about 38 tons of hazardous chemicals. To reduce the risks related ’ knitted with the emergence of various kinds of emergencies and events on Khimichhazardous about ’ yektah, March 26, on the basis of the Training Centre for Civil Protection and Life Safety Zhytomyr region held a seminar with the heads of about ’ objects on: « Organization and planning measures to protect the public and staff in the event of an emergency (accident ) the chemicaldangerous about ’ & raquo ;. site of In the event managers about ’ objects area was once again proven how to act in case of emergencies or events related ’ knitted with discharge of hazardous chemicals. Separately, experts Management DSNS Zhytomyr together with specialists design organizations stressed the needsti compliance with rules and regulations, as well as the device features, maintenance and technical operation of systems for early detection of emergency situations as soon as they occur. Also at the event was considered one of the most important issues of the seminar – providing state personnel about hazardous chemical ’ objects meanspersonal protective equipment and ways of providing them. To date, the percentage for employees about hazardous chemical ’ field objects with personal respiratory protection is 94%. At the end of last 2014, the figure was 88%. In the course of this seminar, participants had the opportunity to talk to the speakers and get answers to questions related to direct activities of industrial facilities. Department of Radiation and chemical reconnaissance rescue special unit of the Office of DSNS conducted exploration areas using chemical detection device « & raquo ;, DOZOR that desigachenyy for automatic measurement of concentrations of gas mixtures in air, indoors and in open areas. At the same time, rescuers using bandages eliminated impulse piping installation in ammonia compressor plant. After the arrival of the next guard with a fire-rescue units of the regional center, the Fire Guidewelt tank was installed and given two water barrels to precipitate the cloud, which was formed by evaporation of ammonia. All of the personnel of emergency units held in protective suits L-1, acid-resistant suits « savior » and isolating devices « POSTAUER & raquo ;, which are intended for protectionbreathing.
