Mourns the passing of known Volyn vyshyvalnyk George Savka

February 16, 2015, passed away Master of Folk Art Yuri Emanuyilovych Sawka, known not only in Volyn vyshyvalnyk. Born George Emanuyilovych 1934 in Ivano-Frankivsk. Inspired by the art of embroidery in adulthood, influenced by a meeting with the works of the famous Vichyvalnyka Dmitry Blazejowskyj created his own school Vyshyvany portrait. In master paintings reproduced and revived Ukrainian history. In his works - portraits of politicians, writers, artists, cultural and religious figures, including Lesya Ukrainian, Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko Daniel Galician, Ivan Bohun, Shukhevych, Neil Hasevychbut Chornovil, Alexander Yurchenko, and Pope John Paul II, Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky and many others who made a significant contribution to the history and culture of Ukraine and our region. The first exhibition of the master was held in 1998 to mark the 7th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine. Overall presented 60 personal yourates. Sawka Yuri Emanuyilovych took an active social position, often involved in the wide cultural events, participated in "Give shirt orphan", presented Volyn embroidery on the first biennial embroidery "Ukrainian napkin" named Hero of Ukraine, famous masters-embroiderers Faith Royik in m.SimferopOli, was a regular member of folk art fairs in Lutsk. Appreciated every day and every hour of his life, gave himself to the beloved. Unfortunately, many of his ideas remained unfulfilled .... There was the Master, but it remained excellent products and the right to live in the work of friends, followers, to capture those Wormsm he instilled a love of Ukrainian embroidery. We express our sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased. Farewell to George Emanuyilovychem held February 17, 2015 from 10.00 to 12.00 in the House of funeral service.
