Transcarpathia: Prosecutor's Office launched criminal proceedings in respect of customs officers who "missed" 10 thousand
packs of cigarettes investigation department of the Prosecutor's Office Transcarpathian region started preliminary investigations in criminal proceedings initiated on the basis of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of poweror office). As the head of the investigation department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Transcarpathian region Ivan Bitlyan found that officials of the customs post « Batyeve » Transcarpathian customs DFS, intentionally, with selfish motives to third parties not fulfilled their required service ’ bandages for conducting customs inspection and intentionally ohlyanuly one of the train cars that went across the state border to Hungary. Thus, through the intentional failure to perform its required ’ bonds inspectors customs post « Batyeve & raquo ;, staff Zahonskoho border guards customs department revealed 10 thousand packs of contraband cigarettes.
