Providers Lutsk participated in the international seminar on the development of palliative care
From 6 to 12 September in Salzburg (Austria) hosted a special training seminar "Development of leadership and education in palliative care: a training course ELNEC. The event was held in the format of the training with the assistance of the Education Consortiumin ELNEC. The selection of participants from Ukraine made the Open Society Foundation supported by the initiative program "Public Health" International Fund "Renaissance". The delegation of Ukraine study to obtain an international certificate coach palliative care were chief specialist Department of Pediatricsand Health Regional State Administration Liudmyla Rozhko, chief physician circuit "Lutsk city children's clinic" Oksana Lyeschynska main circuit nurse "Lutsk city polyclinic for children" Love Kozina and deputy chief physician circuit "Lutsk center of primary health care" Tatiana Knyazkova . In general, the seminar was attended by 34 participantsand from Albania, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries. Teachers who arrived from the United States, shared their experience and practical knowledge, provide advice on appropriate types of medical services and introduction of this system in the countries participants. During the seminar were discussed the following topics (fashionLee): palliative treatment of pain and other symptoms, ethical and cultural aspects related to the treatment of end of life, communication, loss, grief and death, the last hours of life. Enduring increase the number of patients with incurable diseases and limited life expectancy prognosis and the pressing need to improve Mr.aliatyvnoyi and hospice care, and therefore the training of specialists in this field. Participants from Lutsk gained new skills in palliative care and support man in his last moments of life, have adopted the international experience with the introduction and implementation of palliative care, which must be used in practiceand help to achieve the main objective of such assistance - to achieve the highest possible quality of life of patients and their families.
