Vinnytsya Region has made public its proposals for the reform of local government. (+ photos)

3 September NGO "Free Community" held a meeting of the "round table" on "The reform - an integral part of civil society." The meeting was attended by representatives of political parties and public organizationsarea. Participants of the "round table" discussed the role of civil society in reform in Ukraine: the reform of local government, decentralization of power, a voluntary association of local communities. Also touched ensure transparency, responsibility and accountability of local governments in carrying whereThisntralizatsiyi power in Ukraine. Discussion of issues on the "round table" has caused serious debate and great interest among the participants. Proved particularly topical issue of the combined powers of local communities, the formation of the local budget, administrative services, quality health care, educational institutions working, utilities and social protection. Most speakers stressed that decentralization of power is possible only provided that accountability and accountability of local governments to citizens.
