Chernihiv, Ukraine's Independence Day, officially and solemnly

In Chernihiv Independence Day of Ukraine took place the ceremony of laying flowers to the monuments and rally. This year the activities were quite common, and they were about a thousand participants and guests of the city of Chernihiv. In the morning celebration participants - representatives of government, political and religious authoritytions, national and cultural societies - laid flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko on the shaft. Then there was a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to "fighters for freedom and independence of Ukraine", which is set near Catherine Church. There rallyon the occasion of the 24th anniversary of independence of Ukraine, Chernihiv on the occasion congratulated the RSA chairman Valery Kulich, deputy chairman of the Regional Council Valentyn Melnychuk, Chernihiv Mayor Oleksandr Sokolov, people's deputies of Ukraine Vladyslav Atroshenko (MFP), Alexander Kodola (People's Front) and Oleg Kupriyenko ( Radical Party).
