In Bukovina population decreased by half in 1019 to
people in the Chernivtsi region as of July 1, 2015, estimated at 909.1 thousand people lived. This is 1,019 people less than at the beginning of the year. Reported to the statistics in the region. Of the total population of 390.1 thousand people lived in urban areas and 519 thousand people – in the countrysideareas. The overall decrease in population of the region was due to natural decrease. During January-June 2015 were born in 5106 children in 487 people less than in January-June 2014 ..
