Chernihiv delegation took part in the celebration of the Day of Ogre
July 31 - August 1 this year Chernihiv delegation took part in the celebration of the Day of Ogre (Republic of Latvia), which is the partner of Chernigov. The delegation included representatives of Chernihiv City Council, Bandura Ensemble "Sokolka" creative agency "AcademExposure stars "ensemble of folk instruments" fortissimo "and craftsmen. The program of activities has been extremely busy. Members certainly remember the beginning of the celebrations, namely greeting Mayor Arthur Manhulisa Ogre, who sang an opera aria. Greetings from Chernihiv mayor was pronounced Ukrainian and English.Among the guests of the festival, our delegation distinguished traditional Ukrainian embroidery and state symbols, which are constantly present in clothing. Our creative teams began adornment celebration of the Ogre hot and were awarded with applause, flowers and souvenirs. And during the parade participants and to communicate in Chawith activities locals expressed full support and solidarity with Ukraine. On the streets of our fair town artists caused great interest a variety of souvenirs, amulets and various traditional decoration. In addition, the exhibition was spread about tourism opportunities in Chernihiv. It should be noted that duringtime all activities carried out charitable action in support of Ukraine and Chernihiv particular. A pleasant surprise for our delegation was to meet and chat with the President of Latvia. Mr Raimonds Veyonis Ukraine welcomed the delegation and assured unconditional support Latvia Ukraine. He expressed interest in further development of corh-Latvian relations both at the state and regional level. During meetings with the Ogre confirmed agreement on the rehabilitation of children from families of those killed in the area ATO. Also, the community of Ogre prepare humanitarian aid for displaced families. Ogre mayor promised to study the issue of purchase of the Republic of Latviaelectric needs for the city of Chernihiv. In general, the visit of our delegation to the city of Ogre very mentally perceived by all participants in the celebration of ordinary citizens to the state leadership. On the day of departure Chernihiv delegation with hospitable hosts celebration in a circle of friends sang the anthem of Ukraine.
