Interpretation

The cost of interpretation is always different, because it depends on many factors:
- audience (number of people);
- format and location of the event;
- subject of translation;
- language of translation, etc.
There are 2 types fo interpretation: consecutive and simultaneous. Each of these types of translation has its advantages and disadvantages. Depending on your purpose manager of our agency will offer you that kind of interpretation, which will suit you best.
Consecutive interpreting
Let us first consider the features of this type of interpreting. So during the consecutive interpreting speaker speaks with pauses, in order the interpreter have time to translate a speech.
Consecutive interpreting is often used at:
- Business meetings;
- Excursions for foreigners;
- Presentations;
- Telephone talks.
Consecutive interpreting wins by eliminating the need to get special equipment, which is necessary for simultaneous interpreting.
Simultaneous interpreting
This type of interpreting is often used for presentations, press conferences, seminars, etc. Here the speech of speaker sounds together with the speech of interpreter. This is possible thanks to special equipment.
The cost of simultaneous interpreting is higher than the cost of the consecutive, because of its complexity.
Advantages of this type of interpreting:
- absence of pauses in the speech of speaker;
- ability to interpret the speaker's speech simultaneously into several languages (eg from Russian into German, French and English).
